Faz Singhateh appeared on Coronation Street in October 2010 as a Weatherfield General-based Doctor on duty when Graeme Proctor was admitted having been run-over by David Platt. He was educated at Therfield Comprehensive School in Leatherhead, Surrey and went on to gain a Diploma in Acting and Theatre at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, before relocating to the Manchester area. On screen he has been credited for roles in the TV movie Twelfth Night, or What You Will and an episode of Casualty, while on stage he appeared in a production of Henry V.
