He was assigned to interrogate Teal'c of Chulak to gather information on the Goa'uld. He wanted to ship Teal'c out to Langley and have his symbiote studied but the President refused. He also suggested that Major Charles Kawalsky remain host to the Goa'uld symbiote so they could gain access to his knowledge although Kawalsky's commanding officer, Major General George S. Hammond and Colonel Jack O'Neill reacted negatively to that suggestion. (SG1: "The Enemy Within")
