Some putty factories penetrated the ground near rivers and swamps and extracted the raw materials from the ever shifting sands. Others had to have the raw materials delivered to them. Putty factories worked by mixing the ingredients together under intense electrical current, heat and pressure (the origin of the slang putty squisher). The result was refined putty that could be used to mold DNA, to create weapons and explosives and to nerf troops using putty rage.
