The scrapyard was first seen when The Trickster set a smart missile on Sonic the Hedgehog and challenged him to answer a series of riddles. One particular one urged the hedgehog to "seek out the metal rubbish tip", leading Sonic to guess that the scrapyard was the answer. Sure enough, parts of old Badniks, including a Metallix Mark 3, began to join together until they created a new robot. However, this foe was extremely fragile and was destroyed by Sonic with a Sonic-Cyclone in a matter of seconds.
