Nicholas Ball (born 11th April, 1946) played football hooligan Spider Smart on Coronation Street in March 1970. His other credits include Crossroads, The Young Ones, Cold Feet and EastEnders. He remains best known for playing the title role in the late 1970s crime series Hazell.
