Shoji Katagiri was the assistant of You Haibara. He helped You with his research on Luna Sedata Syndrome, became Misaki Asou's main doctor, and observed Sakuya Haibara, thought he considered her case of Luna Sedata Syndrome hopeless. It is unknown what happened to Katagiri after that, but he remained on Rougetsu Island and died along with all the other natives and visitors on the Day without Suffering.
