The Doctrine of the Test was the central theological concept of the Church of Humanity Unchained. According to the doctrine, God, or the Tester of Mankind, often shortened to the Tester, as the Graysons generally refered to Him, was continuously testing His children, making them face challenges of all kinds to find out their true worth. To live through this "Great Test of Life" and prove worthy of the Tester was the most important goal in the life of a faithful Grayson. (HH2, HH5)
