Teak was a scientist employed by the Czerka Corporation at their CZ-198 research facility, where Doctor Teak worked on the Vigilant security system—a genetically-modified Flesh Raider integrated with the electronic security of the facility. Teak was considered expendable by Special Executive Rasmus Blys, who suggested to Doctor Kisadran that Teak be assigned to direct interaction with the Vigilant after it killed a number of maintenance staff.
