On one attempt at Red, Elmer in werewolf form is mistaken for a wolf by Zach Parker and shot. He is found again by Tim Blake, his hunting partner along with Zach. He soon makes another attempt on Red, and is shot again by Zach. On the third attempt, he is shot by Zach and runs off. Zach's fate is decided when Red reveals her vampiric nature and kills hm. She flies away in the form of a bat. Elmer continues to hunt Red, but only sees the oversized bat, not realizing it is actually Little Red Riding Hood.
