The Shar'talans were a tall, pale green-skinned humanoid species native to Shar'tala'veb IV. A peaceful people that prefer art and commerce they accepted the status of Federation protectorate to free themselves from maintaining their own defense force. This decision proved to be a poor one as they were defenseless with the Dominion swept through the Kalandra sector. Many Shar'talans managed to flee their world and retreated to locations deeper in the Federation.
