Ryōtarō Tsuchiura is a second year 'Gen Ed' student entering the concours after his unexpected accompaniment for Hino during the first selection. Ryōtarō is the son of a piano teacher and is himself a piano prodigy. Ryōtarō quit piano at a young age after winning a bobby prize because of his age contrasted with his advanced playing, where as Tsukimori won a grand prize at the same competition with his violin. Until Hino found Ryōtarō playing the piano at a music shop, he had never let anyone at his school know that he played the piano. During the concours, he is forced to pick between the piano and the soccer club as he is the ace player on the team, and chooses the concours, because music brings him joy.
