Akbar Jahan is Director of Research of the International Communication and Policies Center in Los Angeles, California. He has served as project coordinator of the Center's East Indian Violence Monitoring Project, and is also the editor of a newly published book on religion and the cultural effects of mass media. Dr. Jahan has lectured in Canada, India, Germany, and throughout the U.S. He regularly consults with governmental leaders throughout the world on political communication issues.
