When the dark cloud appeared in Meridian, Elyon's powers were taken and threatens her life. She called Caleb to for help giving the weapon of the Escanors, sealed inside a painting of a magical sword. She animates it (or perhaps the sword's true nature was revealed) and tells Caleb to go through the dark mist. The sword, as Elyon stated has the ability to contain the powers of the Light of Meridian and so Caleb journeys with Blue Destiny which contains the remaining powers of Elyon. He and Wali wondered the dimensional prison (the dark mist) and while Wali was taken hostage by the prisoners Caleb confronts the guard and defeated it.
