The Gunboats is the second unlockable secondary weapon for the Soldier. They are simply normal combat boots with metal plates attached to the soles. When equipped, the player absorbs 60% of damage from a rocket jump done by the player who equipped it. This unlockable is exclusive to the Soldier, as it was the class' prize during the WAR! Update. It was possible to survive the Equalizer's taunt with this item equipped, however this was patched in a later update. Before a certain patch, this weapon blocked 75% of blast damage from all sources.
