The Bright Green Society (BGS) aims for a society that relies on new technology and improved design to achieve gains in ecological sustainability without reducing (indeed, increasing) the potential for economic growth. Its members are particularly enthusiastic about green energy, public transport and electric cars, efficient manufacturing systems and bio and nanotechnologies, are supportive of dense urbanism. There are quite a few members of the Radical Democratic Convergence in the BGS however it is an independent non party political organisation.
