The USS Akitsu (NCC-1012) was an Akyazi-class perimeter action ship — of the Akyazi-subclass — on active duty in Starfleet during at least the late 23rd century. (Ships of the Star Fleet, vol. 2) The Akitsu was laid down at Arbing & Lidde Starship Construction, Boston, Earth on 29 July 2284 and was launched on 04 January 2286.
