The pre-war Governmental Railways in the State of Victoria, Victorian Railways ran the rail network of Victoria from 1883 until the war in 2077. By a sheer fluke the main railway workshops in Williamstown survived and to find supplies for the town the Railway began rebuilding it's assets, primarily in the western region of the state.
