Telis Elaris was a Centauri radical and outspoken free thinker who was vocal in his criticisms of the Centauri establishment. Flying in the face of tradition, Elaris wore his hair long and down over his shoulders, much to the consternation of many conservatives. Young Centauri women on the other hand, found the style quite appealing.
