In 2367, the Festival coincidentally was celebrated on the one thousand five hundred fiftieth day since the USS Enterprise-D was commissioned. (TNG: "Data's Day" ) According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 337) , this festival, which was also known as Divali, was a celebration of Rama returning to his kingdom as the rightful king. Celebrants light rows of oil lamps or candles to welcome Rama home.
