Trial by Fire is a Justice League storyline written by Joe Kelly with illustrations by Doug Mahnke. It's the final arc of Kelly's run on the JLA series, following his earlier storyline Rules of Engagement. This is followed by Dennis O'Neil's arc Extinction. The story focuses on the Martian Manhunter and the corrupting influence of his Martian ancestors, the Burning Martians.
