Mother Muleclaw the Third was Roost-Mother during the events of Freeglader. She quickly proved herself a natural Roost-Mother, as she devoured her hatch-mates almost immediately after emerging from her shell. Inexperienced and young, but extremely bloodthirsty and brutal, Mother Muleclaw led a new battle-flock of shrykes to attack the Undertowners at the Lufwood Mount, but the inexperienced flock was possessed by a blood frenzy before being plunged into disarray by Freeglade Lancers, and Muleclaw III was beheaded by Xanth Filatine. Without their Roost-Mother, the remaining shryke sisters gorged on each other while the Freeglade Lancers slayed those that remained.
