Alan Morris is Darren Shan's friend who is a famous scientist. He specializes in the area of cloning. He helped to create the first dragon and was one of the country's leading scientists. He was the one who first found out about the Cirque Du Freak (books only), by stealing an advert from Tony, his older brother. He cut his knee and Darren drank blood from the wound, not able to resist the urge.
