Richard "Rick" Merwin is an animation writer and story editor. His first scripts to be animated were for Donkey Kong in Saturday Supercade in 1983. As many Captain N writers, he later contributed to the Mega Man animated series. He wrote "Quest For the Potion of Power" in Season 2 of Captain N: The Game Master, his sole contribution to the canon. He also wrote for Bucky O'Hare.
