This song is the hardest in Guitar Hero to get more than 3 stars on. It has many HOPO sections, but they prove to be unreliable due to GH1's strict gameplay mechanics and it is best to just alt-strum these, especially in the opening riff. Speed is key in the chorus/verses, which have many split chords supplemented with tough parts that you should try to just alt-strum instead of relying on HOPOs (although if you can master those, you can save your strumming hand from a whole lot of hurt). As for the solos, again, it is best for those who can't effectively use HOPOs to just alt-strum the short scales, but save your energy by hitting the simplest HOPOs.
