Rafting was a recreational activity in which a person attempted to navigate a rushing river in a craft designed for doing so. While surveying an uninhabited planet, Enterprise NX-01's Trip Tucker noted a gorge on the southern continent that five times deeper than the Grand Canyon. He suggested that he and Jonathan Archer do "a little river rafting" after they were done performing their survey. (ENT: "The Catwalk")
