Stéphane Barin (b. January 8 1971 in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, Isère, France) is a former professional defenceman who played chiefly in the Ligue Magnus. The veteran player was named rookie of the year in the Ligue Magnus in 1989-90 while wearing the Grenoble MH38 uniform. He would later play for Chamonix HC, HC Amiens, HC Mont-Blanc and CS Villard-de-Lans, where he ended his player career in 2007. He remained head coach of the team. Barin also played outside France, playing for EC Villach SV (1 season) in Austria and Krefeld Pinguine (5 seasons) in the Deutch Eishockey Liga.
