Professor Adolf Kemper was a former head US weapons researcher. He was expelled from the US in 1978 as a dangerous lunatic. John Probe encountered him when Kemper shot down the plane Probe was travelling in over the Caribbean. Probe ends up disintegrating him with his own weapon.
