Resident Evil, known as Biohazard(バイオ ハザードBaiohazādo) in Japan, is a remake of the 1996 survival horror video game Resident Evil, developed by Capcom Production Studio 4 and published by Capcom for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. The remake includes state of the art visuals as well as a variety of new gameplay elements, environments and story details; Shinji Mikami has stated that it is "70% different from the original."
