Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr. (December 31, 1943 - October 12, 1997), known professionally as John Denver, was an American singer-songwriter, activist and humanitarian who wrote the lyrics and music for his signature song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" in the 1994 Mickey's Fun Songs video release Campout at Walt Disney World. He appeared as a guest star in the fourth season premiere of The Muppet Show, and would notably collaborate with the Muppets again in John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together and Rocky Mountain Holiday.
