Teldûmeir was one of an oligarchy of six Captains of the Havens who collectively ruled Umbar betwen TA 1607 and TA 1650.He was the Lord of Eradas and ruled from the flame Tower of Umbar. Teldûrmeir fought with Mace and shield and was fascinated by fire to a degree that he sometimes went on raids just because he enjoyed to burn something.He wore red most of the time and had employed Scholars to work on a weapon, chemical in nature, that would cling to ships and burn. His chief Captain was Nûrmir.
