Fred M. Meyer (1926 – 2004) was the secretary of The International Wizard of Oz Club from 1961 to 1995. Meyer was an early fan of Oz, and a friend and correspondent of Jack Snow; he was involved in Snow's attempt to start a Wizard of Oz fan club, which was cut short by Snow's untimely death in 1956. Meyer continued the effort with other fans, and was one of the 16 original members when the Club was founded in 1957. A resident of Escanaba, Michigan, and a teacher by profession, Meyer also edited The Baum Bugle. He was a noted collector of Books and artifacts on L. Frank Baum and Oz.
