Chris Harris (born August 6, 1982) is a current American football assistant coach with the Chicago Bears and former safety in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected with the seventh pick of the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. Harris, nicknamed "Hitman", played college football for the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In his playing career, he was also a member of the Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He was hired as a defensive quality control assistant coach by the Chicago Bears on January 28th, 2013.
