Keirena Dusten, or Sheltie, was the younger sister of former Presav Avalyshaar Dusten. The nickname Sheltie comes from the Sarian words, shael teehan, meaning younger sister. Like her sister, Sheltie enrolled in the Provincial Army at first, then molded into the Union Marines when they were formed in 4 ABY. She continued in the service of the Marines through to 8 ABY, and her performance in her duties brought her into frequent Presidential Guard (or Praetsav) assignments. Soon, she was leading a unit as a PRISM agent. In an unprecedented occurence, Sheltie became one of the two personal agents for her sister's Presavship (presidency), and served not only as a protector, but familiar comfort.
