Challenge Mode is a special type of quest introduced into Phantasy Star Online 2 with the update on 11 March 2015. It is a special mode in which players have their gear and level are reset, so that everyone begins with nothing at all, and can only use what they find as drops or are capable of trading for at the interval areas. Currently, there is only one quest - Mission: Start - but more may be introduced in the future.
