The Avopei-Larru Galactic is the most common currency unit in the ICS and was established for use in the later years of the Galactic Republic. The AL has one of the highest values in the galaxy. Many systems have converted to ALs, a few have resisted, notably the Yuci System. The smaller coin denominations are named after the person who graces the back side of the coin.
