Baz was a friend of Tyrone Dobbs who supplied with him a giant inflatable Santa to decorate the exterior of 9 Coronation Street for Christmas 2015. The reason for the extravagance was that Hope Stape had developed a rare form of childhood cancer and, unable to grant her her wish of a trip to Lapland, Tyrone and Fiz Stape decided to bring Lapland to Coronation Street. When Baz delivered the large boxed item, Fiz thanked him warmly for the gift, taking Baz aback. He told Tyrone that he was in hock to his landlord and needed paying £150 for the inflatable, though he agreed to keep it quiet from Fiz. Nevertheless, he sincerely told Tyrone that he wished Hope all the best.
