The original Deconstructor's effect on the Saucer, was parts of the Saucer would turn a bright lime green and a large spinning four-pronged device would protrude from the front of the ship. It was able to destroy up to two or three city blocks, if shot properly. The impact of the projectile ejected from the Saucer hitting the ground, would result in a large green dome decimating anything unfortunate enough to be caught in it. The dome would then dissipate and a large circular yellowish-green radioactive cloud would emit from the center of the dome. It should also be noted that in the first game being close to a building and firing the Quantum Deconstructor will damage the Saucer.
