Doji Ichihara was the brother of Doji Satsume and son of Doji Chuai. He died in combat, and his wife died in childbirth shortly after. The child born was Doji Shizue, and Satsume's wife Doji Teinko convinced the Crane Clan Champion to adopt the girl.
