The JTK1 was the initial model in the Jet King series, which were an homage to the "pawnshop" copy guitars from the 1960s (the type which Ibanez, among others, sold). The JTK1 has a body shape which is vaguely similar to the AX series or Gibson SG shape, but with asymmetric rounded "horns". It resembles a Teisco MJ-2 or a FujiGen-built EJ-2. Production of the JTK1 was in Korea in 2003 and 2004 before moving to Indonesia for 2005. Also in 2005 the one-piece neck with replaced by a three-piece neck. The JTK1 was discontinued after 2005.
