Gregor was born in a small town in Hungary. He was highly intelligent since childhood and in his college days studied in America where he befriended the fellow scientific mind Gary Gilbert. Eventually they went into robotics, and became famed in the field. This grabbed the attention of the powerful industrialist Justin Hammer who hired them to work for his company Hammer Industries. And they accepted.
