Farooq Salam was the President of Pakistan in 2018. His overall political views were pro-American, although it was believed this was mainly due to his need for American assistance in maintaining control of Pakistan's unstable FATA region. During the time of the World Marshal Incidents, Salam was scheduled to meet with U.S. President Hamilton, although the talks were postponed after an attack on the Shabhazabad Air Base. The talks eventually recommenced, where they successfully proposed a joint task force to combat terrorism.
