He was an expert assassin and a shrewd businessman who was able to hide his true occupation well behind his false fronts of the Happy Skies Casino and Yuhanna Arms. Justin was born on Corellia in 59 BBY, where he studied economics and several martial arts forms, becoming an expert in Teräs Käsi and Kartranin. During this time he also became an expert marksman, and carried out several anonymous hired assassinations.
