The bone legs are normally used for carrying objects in the manner of a floating disk spell, though the weight is supported by the hipbones rather than a concave plane of force. Using a standard action, you can direct the bone legs to any location within close range, command them to follow you, or even ride them as if they were a mount. The legs follow your path exactly, at a distance you specify that is no greater than close range. If you pass beyond close range, the bone legs stand in place and wait for you to return.
