Ancient Baron is a character in Dark Cloud and is the mayor of Matataki Village. He wears a lion skin. His house requires a roof, and he'd appreciate hearing the sound of water. Unfortunately he is hard of hearing so his house needs to be placed near the waterfall. To show his gratitude he'll tell Toan several stories, including that of Fudoh the hunter, who disappeared five years ago. He also hands over a gourd. Ancient Baron mention that he was elected as mayor when he was a young man, he stated that he was the most powerful hunter in his time and that not even Fudoh might stand a chance against him.
