Trivialised rape is rape treated like, "Meh, I got raped. Whatever." This angers many people, because rape is serious and should NEVER be trivialised. Ever. When rape is used as a plot device, it is often either the source of gratuitous angst or it is completely glossed over. It's a charge either way, but the latter is far more serious.
