Jim Fitzgerald (December 1, 1921 - November 8, 1987) was a NASCAR driver from Pittsburgh, PA. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Fitzgerald debuted in 1986, racing for his own team at Riverside. Starting 35th in the field of forty-two, Fitzgerald survived just twenty-nine laps before clutch issues left him 38th. Fitzgerald improved when he returned to Riverside in 1987, mainly thanks to picking up a ride from Hendrick Motorsports. Starting 37th this go round, Fitzgerald completed all but two laps and drove home with a solid 17th place finish.
