The unnamed Drunk made Bet Lynch’s evening difficult when she found herself running the Rovers when Annie Walker was away at a charity ball in December 1971. He pestered Bet, singing to her and attempting to hold her hand. Later on in the evening he showed a sadder side to his character when he asked Emily Nugent for a game of dice using what he claimed had been his only Christmas present.
