Lakeside Speedway is a dirt auto racing track located in Kansas City, Kansas that initially opened on April 17, 1955 at 92nd and Leavenworth Road. It subsequently closed in 1956 due to three deaths at the track and reopened in 1961 under new management. The track ran from 1961 until 1988 at 92nd and Leavenworth Road, then was bought out by the Woodlands Horse Race Track and was relocated to its current location at 5615 Wolcott Drive. On its first season at its new location from 1989-1999, it was a half mile asphalt race track. In 2000, it was again under new management and then was converted back to dirt. It floods a lot since it being close to the Missouri River. The track feature grand nationals, factory stocks, modifieds, and The World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
