Zotat was, in an alternate universe accessed by an interdimensional Androssi device, a male Cardassian starship commanding officer. In the year 2376, Zotat was assigned to the Bajoran system under the command of Gul Elim Garak. That year, Zotat was ordered by Garak to take Starfleet Captain David Gold alive while preventing him from opening the Bajoran wormhole.
