Cax-9 is a prototype combat droid created by a military logistics company. He has fought in hundreds of proxy wars between rival companies and small planetary governments. For his excellent performance in battle he was upgraded by his creators with a special software program that is completely new. It gives the droid the ability to learn and adapt on the battlefield. Cax-9 is the only one that has this program. During a large space battle with a small planetary government he became self aware and was able to escape his creators or the people that monitor him. He escaped to the space hub the Wheel but his creators soon caught up with him and tracked him there.
